TWO HOPES: ONE COULD GO THIS OR THAT WAY BUT THE OTHER WON’T!

Duke Jeyaraj before the India-New Zealand  2023 ODI World Cup Semifinal

The 1987 Mumbai semifinal they lost because England, especially Graham Gooch employed a strategy of the sweep!

The 1996 Kolkata semifinal they lost because their top order lost their wickets, mindlessly, leaving Vinod Kambli who was still batting, to weep!

The 2015 Sydney semifinal they lost because Dhoni and Rahane perhaps pushed their acceleration towards Aussies’ 328, far too deep!

The 2019 Manchester semifinal they lost – one reason being Pant, who was batting so well, tried to needlessly explode after Santner bowled dot balls in a heap!

But in the 2023 Mumbai semifinal we believe their promise to win their 10 ODI game in a row, they would definitely keep!

But even if they did not, Jesus will keep His promise of return which Paul expressed with these words in I Cor. 15:51, “We shall not all sleep…”

And let’s all get ready for the same, even if trials and temptations, in this sin-toxic world gets so very steep!
